Can this program be done at home?
Yes! This program can truly be done at home. All you need is a few pairs of dumbbells, and a small space. A bench, resistance bands and fabric booty bands are optional but encouraged.
At least 2 pairs of dumbbells (a "light" pair, and a "medium/heavy" pair), a small space, and your phone.
If you are wanting to get the most out of this programming, the following equipment could be very helpful: adjustable bench, resistance bands with removable handles, and fabric booty resistance bands.
(Please note: these are not necessary, as there are "alternate exercises" always programmed)

Is this app and program available on an Android device?
Yes! This app and program is available for both iPhone and Android users! Once you sign up for a subscription through my website, you can download the Movement With Julie app on either Google Play or the App Store and use the login credentials to sign in and start enjoying the app!
Is this program and app available worldwide?
Yes! This app and program can be done worldwide as long as you have a card that will process USD payments, as the monthly or annual subscription is in the United States Dollar.
Do the workouts have videos?
Yes! These workouts are go-at-your-own-pace style with looping silent video demos for each movement to ensure that you're performing proper form and stay injury-free!
With that being said, this is not a follow-along workout style workout class. Instead you're given the prescribed sets and reps for you to perform at your own pace however slow or fast you'd like.
What is the workout split each week?
The weekly workout split consists of: Lower Body, Upper Body, Cardio & Core, Shoulders & Glutes, and Full Body.
How many workouts do I get?
The weekly workout plan consists of 5 brand new workouts each week that are released for the following week on Saturday at 12 PM (MST). As an active subscriber, you get access to all previous and future weeks of workouts.
How long are the workouts?
Since these workouts are go-at-your-own-pace, it will vary from person to person. With that being said, there are 2 workout options to choose from each day.
The "standard" workout should take you around 45-55 minutes to complete, or a 30-minute workout if you're short on time that should take around 28-32 minutes to complete.
Can I do these workouts as a beginner (or coming back to lifting weights after some time off)?
Yes! You can definitely do these workouts! If you're just beginning your lifting journey or coming back after some time off, I would recommend that you start with the 30-minute workouts int he app and use as many of the "alternate exercises" as needed.
If I can't commit to all 5 workouts, can I still do the program?
Yes! If you cannot commit to all 5 workouts, I would suggest prioritizing the following:
• 3 workouts per week: Lower Body, Upper Body, and Full Body.
• 4 workouts per week: Lower Body, Upper Body, Shoulders & Glutes, and Full Body.
If I can only do the 30-minute workouts, will I still see results?
Yes! I am a firm believer in "doing what you can with what you can" – so if the 30-minute workouts are all you can commit to and you are consistently doing them, paired with proper nutrition, you will see results!
Can this plan be done if I am pregnant?
You will need to consult with your doctor or OBGYN to see if this programming is right for you while pregnant. There have been many subscribers who have used this programming with modifications when necessary throughout pregnancy if they were consistently doing the programming prior to becoming pregnant, but note that this is not a pregnancy specific workout program.
Can this plan be done if I am postpartum?
You will need to consult with your doctor or OBGYN to see if this programming is right for you in this season of your life. There have been many subscribers who have used this programming with modifications when necessary postpartum if they were consistently doing the programming while pregnant, but note that this is not a postpartum specific workout program.
What dumbbells should I start out with?
If you're just starting out, I would recommend getting the following:
• 1 "light" pair (3, 5, 8, or 10 lbs.)
• 1 "medium/heavy" pair (12, 15, or 20 lbs.)
For upper body, you'll likely use the light pair a lot more, and for lower body, you'll use the medium/heavy pair more!
If you want to get a range to get the most out of your weight training journey, I would recommend getting a 5-25 lb. set (click here to see an example on Amazon). That way you would get 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 lbs., which again will yield you the best results because of the wide range of weights.
Do you prescribe the weight to use inside the app for each movement?
I do not recommend weight inside the app because I don't know the individual's history, and access to weight that each person has as well as not being able to physically see form.
My recommendation is always start with lighter weights on movement first.
If you're just starting out, this will take some time to figure out what weight is the best for you, which is why I love the logging of your weight used for movements so beneficial inside the app so you can go back and refer to it the next time you do that movement.
How do I know if I am using the right weight on a movement?
Like mentioned above, it will take some time to figure this out, which is why I encourage you to log your weight inside the app – but the goal is to be able to do 95% of the movement with ease with perfect form.
If you have the proper weight, the last 1-3 reps should be challenging for you but not impossible, and you should still be able to maintain proper form.
Is there a community group provided in this app?
If you are an active subscriber, you gain access to the private community group on Facebook where you'll be able to connect with thousands of other like-minded people doing the same workouts from week to week!
Yes, if you'd like to print your workouts, you will need to log into your app account via my website as you are unable to print them from the app. Keep in mind that the printed workouts will only show the names of the exercises and does not include the pictures of the movements.
Do I get access to previous workouts logged if I cancel my subscription?
Similar to any subscription that you have, you will have full access to all previous and future workouts as an active subscriber, but once you cancel your subscription, you will no longer be able to view or log workouts.
What is the cancellation process?
This is a subscription-based program that will charge to your selected payment method each month or annually on the same date that you originally signed up. Your subscription will continue unless you cancel. Regardless of your subscription type you will have full access to all available programs and features of the app and program as an active subscriber.
If you choose to cancel your subscription, you will need to do it at least 24 hours before your next scheduled billing date. It is the responsibility of the subscriber to cancel their subscription when desired. No refunds will be made based on missed or failed cancellations, change of mind, unused subscription periods, accidental purchases, medical conditions unless required by law to do so.
